Jim Rakete, born in Berlin in 1951, is a German photographer, photojournalist, filmmaker, author and producer. He is best known for his portrait photographs, mostly in black and white. Rakete photographed numerous personalities from the German and international music and film scene as well as from the world of politics. From 1977 to 1987, Rakete ran a photo agency in Berlin.
