He was born in Baghdad in 1960 and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Dramatic Arts from the Department of Acting and Directing, the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Baghdad, in 1982, as well as a master’s degree in Dramatic Arts in 1989 from the same academy. He was a member of the National Acting Troupe and a founding member of the Ibrahim Jalal Theatrical Troupe.
