Yasuhiro Takemoto

Yasuhiro Takemoto studied animation at the Yoyogi Animation Academy. After graduating, he started working at Kyoto Animation for almost his entire animation career, joining the company in 1996. At the company, Yasuhiro was considered one of the most reliable and trustworthy members of the staff. Nurse Witch Komugi was his directorial debut​ and Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu his first solo directorial debut.

He died in the arson attack at Kyoto Animation's Studio 1 on July 18, 2019.
