In 2001, Haruka Kawachi debuted in Seirin Kogeisha's AX magazine with the story "Hinemosu Waltz." Afterwards, stories became popular for their peculiar mood and appeal to both men and women, and she came to be called "manga's enfant terrible." She has been featured in many magazines. Some of her notable works include "Sekine-kun no Koi" and "Engawa Gohan."
