**Åshild Kanstad Johnsen** is a Norweigan illustrator and children's literature writer.
She studied visual communication at the Bergen academy of art from 2003 to 2008.
She made her debut as a children’s literature writer with the picture book *Kubbe lager museum* in 2010. The book won a silver award in the “picture book” category of the *Årets vakreste bøker (Most beautiful books of the year)* award in 2011. The book was adapted to the anime series *Kubbe: Kort Animasjon* in 2013.
Åshild lives and works in Bergen. She is the daughter of the designer and graphic designer **Augon Johnsen** and the elder sister of the visual artist and illustrator **Mari Kanstad Johnsen**.
In her free time, she enjoys drawing, snipping and pasting, and collecting all kinds of things.
