Middle schooler Rei Kigata doesn't believe in the supernatural - that is of course until a ghost confronts him one night handing him the "Horror News" newspaper at midnight!

Kigata tries to think up ways to avoid the newspaper with no prevail and in fact starts speaking with the spirit haunting the newspaper.

Kigata tries to seek help from his teacher and a medium, only to find out the spirit that delivers this Horror News newspaper is a violent poltergeist!

Kigata and his classmates go on a field trip to the mountains. At night before bed, the girls are telling scary stories and theories - while most of the girls think vampires are just tales in story books, one girl claims they are very real.

Okuyama goes home on the train with Kigata and one of the teachers. She is feeling ill as per her anemic state. Kigata discovers that Okuyama bites people because of her anemia and tries to give a scientific explanation to vamprism.

Kigata reads and shares an article in Horror News of how UFOs will be visiting the town tonight. His classmates become interested and their teacher makes a field trip out of the possible sighting. What they see may shock them.

Shortly after the UFO sighting, Kigata meets a girl named Erina who can communicate telepathically with extraterrestrials.

Kigata and Erina are shot at by a hunter in the area thinking they were monsters coming from the glowing object above. In midst of running away, Erina escapes nowhere to be seen.

Kigata shares his ordeal with his classmates and teacher, but even though they too saw a UFO, they think his story is a little far fetched. Kigata tries to prove to them it was true by trying to contact Erina again.

The middle school baseball team have had strange incidents lately of having 14 members, even though they know there are 13.

Takahashi is kicked out of the baseball team for the strange occurances and compains of a painful stomach ache that he says has plagued him for years. Before he goes into surgery to remove what seems like a tumor, the vengeful look-alike takes action.

Kigata shares a story he read in the Horror News with the audience about Oiwa and the lemon...and the real historical accountance behind it.

Kigata and his uncle go to stay up in a mountain ski lodge as they do seemingly every year, although something seems very off.

Kigata discovers that the new proprietor of the lodge he's at is wanted for murder! Kigata is threatened by the murderer to keep silent or else everyone dies. In the meanwhile, he decides to tell a tale about Yetis.

Kigata tries to bide his time and tell the others while the murderer prepares to kill Kigata and frame it upon the legend of the Yeti. In a twisted turn of events, Kigata is somehow saved, but from who...or what?

Kigata shares another article with the audience he read in Horror News about the strange deaths surrounding the excavation of King Tutankhamun.
