Overview
Victor Genovés, an influential businessman, is blackmailed: if he doesn't agree to pay a large sum of money, the self-styled Midas favorites will kill a person at random at a designated place and time and add a new victim periodically until they achieve their goal. How many deaths will he be able to carry on his shoulders?

Dilemma
Victor, a millionaire newspaper publisher, gets a blackmail note just as Mónica, a reporter, is about to break a Syrian war story that implicates him.
Chance
The plot thickens when the extortionists make good on their threats, but also throw Victor a lifeline when he least expects it.
Guilt
As more and more people die under mysterious circumstances, Victor's guilt hits a zenith and his world begins to crumble. Protests erupt in Madrid.
Rift
After Victor confesses everything to Mónica, she begins to have doubts. Meanwhile, Detective Conte becomes obsessed with the case.
Way Out
After Mónica distances herself, Victor takes a gamble with Conte to foil Midas, and tries to redistribute his fortune. The protests continue.
Struggle
At a crossroads, Victor must decide how he will proceed. And absolutely everything — love, his family and his fortune — hang in the balance.
