Overview
Narrated by actor Laura Carmichael, this six-part documentary series charts the planet’s most spectacular events of migration, rebirth and transformation. Over the course of a turbulent year, we witness how finely tuned creatures face the Earth’s seasonal patterns. However, in the 21st Century, these patterns are becoming more extreme, less predictable and dangerously unreliable. Across the globe, we witness the drama and the spectacle. No matter what time of year it is, somewhere on Earth something miraculous is happening.

Jan-Feb The Year Begins
It's the start the year. Arctic winds plunge the polar bear into a de freeze, while in Australia, the heat means a feast for one bird prey.
March-April A Time Of Renewal
Spring begins in the Northern Hemisphere as cherry blossoms bloom across Japan. In India, a congregation wild Asian elephants coincides with the colorful Holi festival.
May-June A Time Of Volatility
May brings violent tornados to North America and the life-giving monsoon to India. The dry season ends in southern Africa, claiming victims among elephants.
July-August A Time Of Migration
In July, Arctic ice sheets crash into the sea while an arctic fox hunts among the rocks. In Africa, herds wildebeest cross the croc-infested Mara river.
Sept-Oct A Time Of Activation
Rain welcomes baby meerkats to the Kalahari. The arrival spring in eastern Australia ignites the passions everything from kangaroos to humpback whales.
Nov-Dec Full Circle
Millions monarch butterflies converge in the forests Mexico. The Arctic skies blaze with the aurora borealis as Earth completes its annual cycle.
