Overview
The soap opera portrayed the daily lives of three generations to show that there is no ideal time to love and be happy. Chapter 1

Danilo locks Madalena in a hotel. Xistus punishes his grandchildren by depriving them of food. Bruna forces Álvaro to propose marriage. Maneco saves Madalena. Bruna promises to help the children.

Bruna runs away with the children. Emília is overjoyed to see Júlio again. Maneco and Madalena collect their belongings from the boarding house. Álvaro discovers the punishment and argues with Xistus. Xistus falls ill.

The children play pranks on Madalena, but she manages to get a job as a governess at Xistus's mansion. Rudy starts gambling again. Suspicious, Bruna warns Xistus about Madalena.
Chapter 9
Madalena lies about her passport and origins, making Bruna suspicious. Rudy wins a horse racing bet against Yves. Madalena is chased by a cow and is saved by Álvaro.
Chapter 10
Madalena is charmed by Álvaro after being rescued. Pepe warns Álvaro that the trip to London is Bruna's plan to keep him away from his children. Friar Chicão hosts Maneco at his house.
Chapter 11
Julio is captivated by Magdalena's stories. The children worry about their father's trip. Filé argues with Anita because of Cindy. Catulo speaks ill of Magdalena, and she overhears.

Maneco arranges a meeting with Madalena. Filé invites Babi to a motocross race. Frei Chicão confesses that he suspects Débora, Álvaro's wife, is in death.

Xistus is enchanted by Maneco's work. Babi is devastated when she sees Filé and Cindy kiss. Frei Chicão is revolted by Maneco's idea of reforming the church.

Álvaro warns Rudy that the horse Lancelote is sick and under threat. Friar Chicão kicks Maneco out of the house. The children tell Pepe that they saw a strange man in the rice field.
