Overview
In the middle of the 2008 global financial crisis, Vanda finds herself alone and broke, with two children to raise. She embarks on a string of bank heists using a blonde wig and a toy gun and, in the process, becomes a folk hero.

Vanda, a hardworking salon owner with a neglectful husband, suddenly finds herself alone and broke and unable to provide for her children.
Episode 2
Vanda’s first robbery gives her an opportunity to save her salon but also catches the attention of an eager police specialist.
Episode 3
Vanda’s daughter remains dismissive of her mother. The police specialist plays on Vanda’s pride hoping that she will make a mistake.
Episode 4
Vanda’s loses custody of her kids and leans into her new life as a bank robber.
Episode 5
Vanda makes a trip to Spain to meet with a laywer. The police specialist makes progress in the case.
Episode 6
Vanda’s daughter grows further apart and Vanda makes a bold display to the wrong person to show that she is still a good mother.
Episode 7
Vanda is conflicted about the best way forward because she still needs more money to buy back the salon and get her kids back.
