Tony Musante stars as a plain-clothes detective in the vice squad of a big city police force. The Oberon Contract: Despite all the evidence pointing to an ex-convict as the killer of a city councillor, Toma continues to investigate after learning of the victim's ties with organized crime.

A student observer works with Dave on a gangland killing investigation. Dave soon realizes the student's interest in the murder is more than academic.
