New Life and a Vampire
新生活とバンパイア
Tsukune Aono, a subpar student both academically and physically, is accepted into a mysterious high school. On his first day of school he meets a girl named Moka Akashiya, who reveals she is really a vampire. Tsukune quickly discovers that his new school is a school for monsters. No one knows Tsukune is human and he tries to figure a way to escape from the school. However, Tsukune's life becomes more complicated when he becomes involved in a fight with a delinquent student and accidently removes the cross on Moka's neck.

Succubus and a Vampire
夢魔とバンパイア
Tsukune must wait for a month for the bus to return in order to return to the human world. In the meantime, he tries not to draw any attention to himself, a task made nearly impossible by the beautiful vampire Moka, who constantly hangs around him, inciting the jealousy of the male students. If that wasn't enough trouble, another popular girl named Kurumu Kurono, a succubus with a grudge against Moka, attempts to seduce Tsukune.

Witchling and a Vampire
魔女っ子とバンパイア
The crush that the young witch Yukari has on Moka drives her to endeavor to isolate her from Tsukune through various and often humorous pranks, including trying to make Moka believe that Tsukune is making sexual advances on the succubus Kurumu (who does not seem to care whether it is a prank or not). During a confrontation by a trio of lizardmen whose intolerance of witches (because witches were thought to be an abomination; a cross between youkai and human) Yukari quickly finds that Tsukune is a true friend and vows to turn over a new leaf.

Farewell and a Vampire
さよならとバンパイア
As three boys are making a fanclub for Moka, Kurumu, and Yukari with the sentiment that Tsukune is the reason why the three girls do not pay them any attention, they decide death for Tsukune who is despondent over the fact that he cannot protect the girls the way that they protect him due to his lack of strength. Given how he conducts himself, the argument could be plausibly made that Tsukune is planning to leave the school because of this inadequacy. After Moka reads him the riot act for being so obtuse, they learn that Tsukune only wanted the bus driver to deliver the letters he wrote to his family.

School Swimsuits and a Vampire
スクール水着とバンパイア
The students learn that they are to choose a school activity and Tsukune is having a hard time choosing when he comes across the swimming club with Moka who is a bit reluctant to investigate because water has a purifying effect on vampires and drains their powers. As Kurumu and Yukari try to garner the most attention through events, the head of the swim club tries to isolate Tsukune for herself. After she teaches the mermaids the error of their ways, the interior Moka reprimands Tsukune for not understanding the other Moka.

Newspaper Club and a Vampire
新聞部とバンパイア
During the first meeting of the Newspaper Club, Tsukune-tachi (Tsukune with Moka, Kurumu, and Yukari in convoy) is introduced to the head of the club Ginei Morioka whose superficial charm is to crowd out Tsukune framing him as the mysterious peeper who's been looking at the girls around school. As Kurumu and Yukari work to illuminate the real culprit and clear Tsukune's name, Moka continues to believe the lies. During a battle with inner Moka, Ginei shows his true colors and form but finds that his powers do not enable him to outrun and outwit the consequences for his voyeurism and general lecherous conduct.

Snow Girl and a Vampire
As Tsukune and the others from the Newspaper Club hand out the paper to the students, a girl named Mizore Shirayuki appears and takes an immediate liking to Tsukune. Seeing him as a lonely kindred spirit that needs companionship, Mizore tries to isolate Tsukune for herself and finds herself in danger of expulsion because of a teacher that accuses her of attacking him without cause. It falls upon Tsukune to set things straight with the despondent Mizore if he can keep the inner Moka from committing cold-blooded murder.

Math and a Vampire
Every guy in school notices the math teacher Lilico-sensei and admires her beauty. Unfortunately, Tsukune is falling behind the others in math and it is summer school for him if he fails the mid-terms. Yukari and Moka try to help Tsukune with his math in their own way only to find that their efforts have drawn the attention of Lilico-sensei who insists upon extra lessons with her and her alone. Unfortunately, Tsukune's newfound proficiency in math from these lessons comes at the cost of his personality; a bit of investigating that reveals there is more to Lilico-sensei than meets the eye and a battle with the inner Moka later, Tsukune is back to normal. It turns out that all of that artificial knowledge was not necessary for Tsukune to pass the mid-term.

Summer Break and a Vampire
While on summer vacation in the human world with Nekonome-sensei as their chaperon, the Newspaper Club's fun in the sun on a beach gives way to a field of sunflowers on a hill that Tsukune discovers to suggest reconnaissance thereof, not realizing that there are a pair of witches residing there that make no distinction between them and the land developers that covet that area. Feeling left out because of what she thinks is her young age, Yukari encounters Ruby (one of the two witches residing in the sunflower field) later that night who is pleasantly surprised to see another witch. As she is pondering whether to join Ruby and her master, Tsukune arrives to escort her back to the others.

Sunflowers and a Vampire
Ruby awakens to find herself in a tent with Tsukune-tachi (Tsukune with Moka, Yukari, Mizore and Kurumu in convoy) and a soft drink can held to her forehead for her to drink. When asked why she attacked Tsukune-tachi, Ruby explains about how badly witches have been treated and how developers are planning to destroy the sunflower fields where she and her master live. Seeing how kindly Tsukune and his friends treat each other, Ruby starts to have doubts that drive her to later sneak out that night back to her master. When Tsukune-tachi rushes into the sunflower field to search for her, Ruby's denial regarding her master instigates a massive battle at whose climax a forbidden spell is used whose near-irreversibility raises a lot of question of whether Ruby will survive.

New Term and a Vampire
Tsukune's return to Yōkai Academy from summer vacation and the Newspaper Club's work on its next edition rouses the powerful and corrupt Public Safety Commission whose function is to act as the school's police. Tsukune helping Kurumu to help her distribute their newspapers against Ginei's orders incites the PSC spider-woman Keito to attack them with several of her minions. While inner Moka easily repels the assault, the PSC's destructive resolve against the Newspaper Club is strengthened and amplified with just as much ease.

Security Committee and a Vampire
The attempts of the Newspaper Club to collect evidence of the Public Safety Commission's corruption causes Tsukune's arrest on "suspicion of being a human" along with Moka, Kurumu and Mizore being taken in as people of interest. After coercive questioning (and torture with water in Moka's case), Tsukune is forced to admit being a human. His confession now community knowledge within Youkai Academy and Moka jailed for being an accessory to his deception, Tsukune is taken away for sentencing much to the disbelief and shock of Kurumu-tachi (Kurumu, Yukari, and Mizore). What happens to him is left hanging in the balance.

Tsukune and a Vampire
Tsukune is sentenced to execution, but an unexpected friend returns and joins Moka and the others to help against the Public Safety Commission to rescue Tsukune. It seemed almost too late but his friends rescue him. After he is reunited with Moka, the leader of the Public Safety Commission severely injures Tsukune with fire. As his body goes limp, his hand removes the Rosary from Moka's chest and Inner Moka quickly kicks the leader of the Public Safety Commission, then attempts to revive Tsukune by giving him her Vampire blood. Meanwhile, the Public Safety Commission Leader has returned in his monster form, that of a Four-Tailed Fox that has control over fire and is also a top ranked monster. He quickly dispatches all attempts to be defeated by the rest of the group, until the only one left is Moka. She charges to attack, but realizes that giving up her blood has weakened her and almost impaired her of her superhuman strength. What happens next will determine the fate of Tsukune and the others.
