The day of the bathroom handover has arrived, but not everyone is on schedule. While some struggle with materials and help, others run into internal disagreements. Steffie and Gregor disagree on the finish of their countertop, and a minor relationship crisis is also developing between Sonja and Hendrick. Even for the always cheerful couple Lotty and Frank, the sun seems to have stopped shining. Marloes and Patrick have finally found a tiler, but far too late to achieve a decent handover. The jury does not mince words and assesses all bathrooms in detail. Who makes an impression, who falls short, and who walks away with that coveted €5,000?

After the earlier embarrassingly poor bedroom deliveries, the couples in Het Blok get a final chance to redeem themselves and pocket 2,500 euros. The jury is critical, and the relief is short-lived, as a new assignment for a gender-neutral children's room immediately puts everything back on edge. Sonja transforms into a ruthless container tyrant and even imposes a construction stop, while problems pile up for Marloes and Patrick. Who will hold up under the pressure, and for whom does the adventure in Het Blok threaten to derail?

While the plasterers are on their way, the pressure in Het Blok continues to mount. Not every couple is on schedule, and for unlucky Bianca and Silvio, setbacks are piling up now that Silvio has injured his back. Meanwhile, a leak is causing considerable unrest, and the atmosphere at Lotty and Frank's is becoming increasingly grim. Sonja has something to complain about as always, while Marloes and Patrick surprise friend and foe alike with their pace. And during the first joint lunch, intended to bond the group, the differences between them turn out to be greater than expected once again.

After five weeks of working incredibly hard on renovations, it is really starting to take its toll on Sonja and Hendrik. On top of that, their budget has reached a dramatic low point due to all the expensive help. Steffi and Gregor are breaking building regulations again, much to the displeasure of some other couples. Bianca and Silvio are letting it all pass them by; they are completely exhausted by now, and Silvio, in particular, realizes that participating in the toughest renovation adventure in the Netherlands might not have been the best idea.

The final 24 hours for the nursery are upon us, and the couples are pulling out all the stops to meet the grueling deadline. The younger generation seems poised to pull it off, but for Silvio, things are facing difficulties once again. Due to his back problems, he has to undergo an MRI scan. There are also complaints from the neighbors about noise pollution. The candid Bianca takes full responsibility for the racket, but it is clear that not everyone is being entirely honest.

The completion of the children's bedroom is just around the corner, and the competition is fierce. Bianca and Silvio pull another all-nighter in the hope of finally delivering, but the question is whether that will be enough. Meanwhile, Lotty and Frank are remarkably relaxed, while Marloes and Patrick try to rectify their earlier mistakes. Not everyone makes it to the finish line, and when the jury offers criticism, all hell breaks loose. The jury comes under heavy fire. Menno is anything but happy with the assessment, and Sonja's emotions run so high that she can't hold back the tears. There are also positive surprises: several couples deliver strong rooms, making it difficult for the jury to choose.

The construction of the kitchen gets underway. The battle for an extra renovation budget erupts, while Bianca and Silvio are unexpectedly confronted with a pipe obstructing their upstairs neighbors. Kim and Jim must decide who to grant an extra kitchen fitter to, the job every couple is vying for. Meanwhile, budgets are running dangerously high, a blazing row erupts over the communal lunch, and it becomes apparent once again just how tough life in the block is.

After a fun but grueling evening of drinks, the 31st work day gets off to a difficult start for several couples. Seniors Sonja and Hendrik struggle to get going, and doubt strikes Jacky once again. Bianca grapples with Silvio's gloomy mood, while Kim and Jim get ready for the work van. Meanwhile, Marloes and Patrick suddenly find themselves with extra work, forcing a complete overhaul of their schedule. Fatigue is starting to take its toll on more and more couples.

Contractor Ray and jury member Heiko are concerned about the performances of Bianca and Silvio, and Marloes and Patrick. Therefore, they sound the alarm to steer the renovation in the right direction, but it may be too late. The work van heads into town again, allowing the couples to gather extra construction budget. Although Sonja and Hendrik's job seems a bit too ambitious. Steffie and Gregor are not making themselves popular with their decision to stop contributing to the waste container.

Frustrations mount when the key to the bike shed goes missing and several couples get stuck in their schedules. Meanwhile, the argument between Sonja and Steffie over the shared container reaches a climax when Steffie goes her own way. The couples are past the halfway point, so Dennis drops by with a surprise and there seems to be a brief moment of calm, but this is short-lived. With the kitchens on the horizon, everyone has to get back to work. As debris is cleared everywhere, it becomes apparent once again how quickly small frustrations can escalate into major conflicts.

All kitchens have been delivered, so the Block Residents must ensure the apartments are kitchen-ready. This leads to chaos, stress, and relationship troubles. While some couples are well-prepared, others turn out to have their affairs anything but in order. Things immediately fall apart for several pairs when it turns out that being kitchen-ready involves a bit more than expected. Meanwhile, tensions are rising for some couples. An seemingly lighthearted topic like marriage suddenly leads to surprising revelations and awkward conversations. It turns out Lotty has been married before, and Frank knew nothing about it. The theme of marriage also causes unrest for Steffie and Gregor. And then there is Jim, who causes a costly blunder early on.

While most couples are finally getting the hang of DIY, Lotty continues to fumble with construction jargon, which bodes ill. Meanwhile, construction supervisor Heiko walks around like a watchdog, and nothing escapes his notice, much to the irritation of Menno and Patrick, among others. The pressure is mounting rapidly: the underfloor heating needs to be installed, as the kitchens are already ready to be fitted. With the deadline approaching, nerves are starting to kick in. Schedules are shaky, frustrations are bubbling up, and a broken hob throws everything into disarray as well.

The renovation teams are in the eighth week of the renovation. The final stretch towards the completion of the kitchen has begun. Sonja and Hendrik are receiving help from a kitchen installer they received as a gift from Kim and Jim. Hospitality team members Marloes and Patrick are hosting the now-legendary communal lunch. Steffie and Gregor are doing so well that they take the time to pay a visit to the competition, but this is not appreciated.

The clock is ticking toward the delivery of the kitchens. Bianca and Silvio are falling behind, but Kim and Jim are actually ahead. Things continue to go wrong for Marloes and Patrick, and stress is causing tension for Steffie and Gregor as well, especially when unexpected help doesn't go down well with everyone. With very little time left, everyone has to make choices: what must be finished and what can wait?
