Overview

He considered male friendship the most precious thing in his life, and among his friends were Andrei Tarkovsky, Vasily Shukshin, and Vladimir Vysotsky. Artur Sergeevich Makarov was murdered in the fall of 1995 under mysterious circumstances in his Moscow apartment.
