Overview
Based on the novel of the same name by Anna Knyazeva. The comfortable, orderly life of a Zamoskvoretsky VIP atelier is shattered overnight. Its owner, Nadezhda Raukh, finds herself embroiled in a mysterious incident: an important client's briefcase disappears from the fitting room, followed by her disappearance. Due to confidentiality, security officer Lev Astrakhansky investigates the incident. Accusing Nadezhda of all mortal sins, he soon discovers that the crime has historical ramifications…

After the folder and client disappeared, someone ransacked Nadezhda's apartment. She turned to her friend and lawyer, Mark, for help. The next day, Nadezhda made a new acquaintance, the restaurateur Denis, and that night, burglars broke into the tailor's shop and killed the security guard, Vasily. From a casual acquaintance, an elderly woman named Ulyana, Nadezhda learned that in 1926, a young woman named Zosya Dombrovskaya had been murdered in the mansion where the tailor's shop was located.
