Overview
Ritter's Cove is an adventure television series which aired on CBC Television from 1980 to 1981, co-produced by Canadian, West German and British companies. Ritter's Cove heads into a 26-week run, is about a coastal pilot named Karl Ritter, played by German actor Hans Caninenberg. An airplane piloted by his son has disappeared so he is left alone caring for both his airline company and two grandchildren.

Pilot
Ritter is grounded by the transport ministry because he failed to take a scheduled medical examination. In desperation, he turns to a woman pilot for help. Enter co-star Susan Hogan who plays Kate Ashcroft in the series. The Ritter-Ashcroft relationship is a constant theme throughout the series. reasons. Karl's grandson, Robert (Dale Walters,) becomes a stowaway during Susan's test flight.
