Overview
Former gang boss turned respected businessman, Richie Beckett pledge money to help rebuild a pier. But Richie's mind is deteriorating, and the other outfit he runs with his sons is under attack by a vicious rival gang.

Fear
Erstwhile crime boss Richie Beckett is now a respected - if still feared - member of the Brighton business community. But recently he's forgetful, irritable, unable to sleep, and the less legit side of his enterprise is under threat from a newcomer, Marin.
Anger
Richie's mind deteriorates and he seeks help from a former adversary. For the sake of the family, Richie's son strikes a deal with Marin's gang.
Despair
Richie is diagnosed with a virulent form of early-onset dementia. Cal is forced into hiding.
Death
Richie is on the run, in a state of full-blown dementia, pursued by the police and Marin's gang. In Cal's hideaway Richie has a rare moment of clarity. Past and present come together as Richie finally uncovers the truth about the girl from his past.
