Overview
The Time of Our Lives follows the lives of the extended Tivolli family as they navigate their way around relationships, raising kids, love, careers, divorce, disability and finding happiness. Elder brother Matt is a high-flying sports agent struggling with his obsessive wife Caroline. Younger brother Luce runs a much more relaxed household with long-time partner Bernadette, despite a chaotic schedule and financial pressures. Chai Li, the youngest, was adopted from Vietnam as a baby and is a successful and happy thirty-something until her world is shattered by a humiliating turn of events. Herb has known the family since childhood.
About This Season
Things are moving on for the Tivoli family after some momentous changes. Matt and Caroline are divorcing but must face an even greater challenge when a traumatic event with Alice affects them all. Chai Li’s reconnection with her birth mother brings unexpected complications when a life-changing issue arises for her adoptive parents Ray and Rosa. And the show’s central couple, Luce and Bernadette find new strength together as they deal with a major personal crisis.

The Accident
When a family member is involved in a horrific accident, Chai Li races home to Australia. Caroline returns to work and Bernadette receives her gene test results.
The Family Tree
Caroline finds herself alone with an unwell Alice, and Bernadette grapples with the choices she must make in light of her gene results.
The Negotiation
Matt prepares to negotiate the biggest deal of his career. Ray is fitted with a prosthetic leg and later surprises Rosa at a fun family dinner at the bowls club.
The Choice
Luce's show is falling to pieces, Chai Li and Herb struggle to find common ground and Bernadette makes a decision in relation to having the BRCA1 gene.
The Dream
Luce is excited about the upcoming one night only performance and Ray confides in Chai Li about his recurring nightmares about Vietnam.
The Birthday Dinner
Herb takes his mother in after he discovers she's been evicted, Matt reluctantly attends a speed dating event and Luce searches for a real job.
The Man on the Bus
On a bus ride home from Luna Park the Tivollis witness an ugly incident when two youths harass another young man.
The Proposal
Georgie is caught with marijuana, Caroline and Diana receive great news in relation to their case and Herb and Chai Li help organise a surprise event for Bernadette.
