Overview
Spanning thousands of acres and incorporating hundreds of species of animals; Michelle Oakley’s veterinary practice is Yukon tough. There is no such thing as a typical day in Michelle’s practice. House calls can range from expelling dogs anal glands to getting chased down by the very large Arctic musk-ox. Accompanied by her teenage daughters and armed with humor as sharp as scalpel, Michelle deftly juggles being a full time Veterinarian, wife and doctor; taking us into unexplored and unexamined regions of the Yukon.

Runaway Reindeer
Dr. Oakley herds a group of unruly reindeer and treats a breeding mini ram with a limp. Back in Haines, the team treats a dog with a mass and a supersized cat with painfully matted fur.
Stay Wild
The Oakleys treat an electrocuted sloth, track the elusive tapir, and release rescued animals back into the wild.
Pura Vida
In Costa Rica, Dr. Oakley treats jaguars, tackles an abscess on a tropical weasel, and determines if a rescued sloth can be released into the wild.

Dr. Oakley treats an elk with hair loss and a tiny owl with a detached retina. One of the team’s favorite patients returns with a shocking wound.

The team travels to remote islands where they face an explosive feral cat population, neglected dogs, and a pair of mischievous goats.
Not My First Rodeo
Dr. Oakley lassos a calf at an old school cattle roundup. Later, she shears an overgrown sheep and treats a dog that was kicked by a horse.

Dr. Oakley treats an emaciated chicken and a dog with a lacerated paw. To help a mini horse, the team needs to get past his protective donkey pal.

Dr. Oakley transports baby bison to their new home and treats a pair of therapy reindeer that help a veteran with PTSD.

Dr. Oakley treats a pair of debilitated chickens and a Highland cow who loves to give hugs. A reindeer farm hopes to turn their luck around.
